Covid 19 update
** LATEST UPDATE 22/03 **
WāhiBJJ will cancel all classes starting on the 23rd of March to 6th of April (2 weeks). We believe that Martial Arts for been a contact sport is classified as a risk for spread COVID19. On the 21th of March, the Prime Minister of New Zealand has moved COVID-19 Alert Level 2, Reduce Contact, in an escalation of efforts to reduce the spread of the virus in New Zealand.
As a Head Coach of WāhiBJJ (Wahib) I wouldn't be responsible if I only consider my personal thought and not follow the Government actions against COVID19.
Members will be asked to continue supporting the club, without your support we cannot exist. We are asking for the members to continue paying your weekly or monthly subscription at 50% to help pay the club's expenses and this payment will continue after we open for the same period that you stop. A minimum of two weeks. Please keep following WāhiBJJ Social media, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, website and we will keep you informed about our return.
Has been a difficult decision for me but we have to do our part to help stop spreading the virus.
Thanks for your support and understanding.
** 19/03 **
With the latest news and shut downs of meetings of more than 100 people we would like to inform people that we are still open.
If you have any symptoms then please stay home.
For those who do wish to train then we encourage you to come, wash your hands as you come through the door and your gi after training as normal.
For those who wish to stay away or who have self isolated we ask that you keep paying your membership fees. This can be at 50% and upon your return continue at 50% until you have made up your missed classes.
We would like to think that during this tough times we would still have a gym to all come back to.
