How to tie your belt

There are 3 variations to tying your belt.

Standard:

Simple knot, but with a cross on the back

  1.  The first step is to find the middle of the belt or the “center”.  Make sure it hangs evenly from the middle.
  2. Hold your belt in both hands and place it flat against your belly. Check that the label of the belt is facing outward away from you and you tab should be on the right.
Adjust the belt as necessary such that both ends of are a similar length.

  3. Pull the belt tight around your body as you cross the sides in the back. With one side of the belt in each hand, create tension as you pull each side of the belt back.
Feed each side into the opposite hand so the belt crosses once in the back.
    step 1

  4. Once we cross the belt in the back we bring the ends to the front and make another “X” in front of the body. Cross the left hand side over the right.

  5. We then start to tie the knot. We bring one end up under the belt and the other end down.
Tuck the top overlapping strap of the belt (in your right hand) underneath all the layers of the belt around your waist. Do this so it comes in from the bottom and out of the top.
It will now be the closest strap to your body of all the wraps around your waist.

You will end up with a high tail and a low tail.
  6. You then take the high tail and put it over the low tail, while it faces south, and comes back up, pulling it tight and flat.

Hollywood

The single belt on the back. Same knot as standard.

  1. Start with the end of the belt touching the middle of your back on your left side.
  2. Start wrapping the other tail around you, on top of itself bring it around to the front and continue around to the right
  3. You will then end up with one tail. Take that tail and fold it up under all the layers of the belt, to make the high tail
  4. Now take the inner most layer on the left and push it down, this will be the low tail
  5. You should now have two tails of the same length
  6. Repeat step 6 from the standard knot.

Superlock

Same start as the Hollywood with single belt on the back, but create a more secure knot that will be less prone to coming undone.

  6. Take the low tail and bring the tail up and push it down between the two layers on the right leaving a large enough loop for the other tail
  7. Take the high tail and bring it down while sliding it inside the loop from the low tail, and between the two layers on the left
  8. Now tighten the two tails pulling them tight.
